Tuomas Riski, CEO at Norsepower commented:

“Being listed as a Global Cleantech 100 Company shows Norsepower’s Rotor Sail Solution technology is at the fore-front of innovation not only in shipping, but spanning all segments of industry and society. Our technology now fully commercialised and is making a real difference to the commercial operations of shipping as well as helping solve the world’s largest existential threat – the climate crisis.

Tuomas added: “Norsepower has achieved many recent landmarks, from our first tilting Rotor Sail solution to an agreement to install five Rotor Sails on the first bulker vessel. We are seeing a significant update of our technology in the market, demonstrating the flexibility of our design for all vessel types and the significant fuel and emissions savings the technology can make as shipping decarbonises, but also looks to make cost-effective investments. We look forward to the growth and ongoing development in 2021 and beyond, particularly over the next five to nine years as the industry meets the decarbonisation challenge.” For more information on the Rotor Sail Technology solution, please click here.
